This motor sailor is a design and performance-led project, with spatial, hydrodynamic, and engineering innovation created in concert with our project partners, the America’s Cup-winning Pedrick Yacht Designs, and eminent yacht builder Pendennis Shipyard. The primary challenge, simply stated, was to create a sailing vessel with fast motoring speed, for those times when sailing is not ideal. This vastly expands any cruising itinerary. Beyond this, was the requirement to fit-out the yacht with the space and amenities of a similar size motor yacht, all the while retaining the lithe exterior shape desirable in such a sporty vessel.
